Privacy notice
We keep this short because we collect very little. The names you are thinking about are often confidential, and we treat them that way.
Who we are
Lightfathom is operated by 106 Enterprises Ltda, a company registered in Brazil (CNPJ 49.059.143/0001-68), R. Bernardo Guimarães 2717, sala 703, Santo Agostinho, Belo Horizonte, MG, 30140-085, Brazil. That company is responsible for your data under Brazil’s data protection law (LGPD) and, where it applies, the GDPR. Contact: hello@lightfathom.com.
What we collect
- What you send us: the name you want checked, a short description of what you are building, where you plan to sell first, your email address, and whether you ticked the box for launch news.
- Order details: when paid plans open, a payment provider will process your payment. We will receive a confirmation, not your full card details.
- Messages: anything you write to hello@lightfathom.com.
What we don’t do
- No analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site, and no cookies. Fonts and images are served from our own site, so loading a page sends nothing to third parties.
- We never sell your data or your name ideas.
- We don’t publish or reuse your name ideas.
How we use it
Only to run your check, send your result or report, send Watch notes if you subscribe to Name Watch, and answer your messages. If you joined the waitlist, we use your email to send your Free Check result when it opens. We send occasional launch news only if you ticked “Send me occasional launch news”, and you can stop it at any time by writing to us.
Who else sees it
To run a check, we send the name to the public search services we query: the trademark registers, domain lookup services and app-store search. Those searches are not linked to your email.
Our website and waitlist form are hosted by Netlify, and our email runs on Zoho Mail. They process your details only to provide those services to us.
How long we keep it
We delete the name, description and other inputs you send us 30 days after we deliver your report. If you subscribe to Name Watch, we keep the watched name for as long as the subscription runs and delete it 30 days after it ends. Records we must keep for tax or accounting are kept only as long as the law requires.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or to leave the waitlist. Write to hello@lightfathom.com and we’ll reply within a few working days.
Changes
If we change this notice, we’ll update the date above and, for anything significant, tell people on the waitlist or with an active order.
